Midwest Gaming Classic and 8-Bit Classics

Written by 8-bit.

Midwest Gaming Classic is being held this weekend (June 3rd and 4th) in Oconomowoc, WI (between Madison and Milwaukee).  We at 8-Bit Classics will have a booth setup to purchase a bunch of our items including items currently not found on our site!  We have been working hard the past couple weeks to get our storage room cleaned and test as much as possible.  Because of this, we have more consoles and games to choose from.  Once MGC is over, everything will be posted at 8-Bit Classics.

Now because of MGC, we will be putting 8-Bit Classics in catalog mode.  This will only allow users to view items in our store and not check out.  We don't want to have a mixup and sell an item twice.  We will be continually changing the inventory to reflect, but we want to make sure.  On Monday, we will open up our online store again to the public.  Orders from Friday through Monday will be delayed because of MGC, so order early if you are looking.

Next, I would like to announce that Scott Adams of Adventure International will be at our booth after his speaking session at MGC on Sunday.  We will be handing out copies of his games for free to visitors while he is at our booth!  They are only in Atari 8-Bit format on floppy disk (as available from our site).  So if you are running an Atari 8-Bit, please stop by for your copies. Also Ellen from Raven Software will be stopping by on Saturday after her speaking event to chat with us and visitors.  Ellen is an Audio Lead at Raven Software and has worked on some great titles in the past.

It should be a great show and looking forward to meeting some of our many customers!

Written by 8-bit.

Our inventory is clean and all components should be up and working again.  We will be adding descriptions now, but feel that people can start checking out while we are doing that.  Thank you for your patience!

Welcome to 8-Bit Classics!

Written by Web Master.

We are now live!  We still have some issues, but have been down for over a month.  Everything should work including Credit Card payments.  Most of what needs to be done are descriptions on products and a few inventory items still need to be updated.  Hopefully we won't run into problems with that, but will get the most important stuff done first (descriptions on systems/parts that are popular) and work our way down.

Anyway, hope you enjoy our new site.  It has been a long time coming!  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
