Vintage Computer Festival West

Where: Computer History Museum, 1401 N. Shoreline Blvd., Mountain View, California (Google mapdirectionslodging)

Hours: Saturday, 9:00-6:00, Sunday, 9:00-5:30

Tickets — Online ticketing will be available soon. Tickets will also be available at the door. Tickets are $20 for one day, $30 for both days, half-price for Computer History Museum members, and free for anyone 14 or younger.

Exhibits (and exhibit registration) — Hands-on exhibits are presented Saturday and Sunday. You’ll find demos of 1960s minicomputers, 1970s homebrew systems, 1980s eight-bitters, and a few oddities. Some exhibits contain pristine original machines, while others focus on unique modern hacks, and everything in between. Exhibit registration will be open soon.

Speakers — Come see our impressive keynote speakers! Details to be determined.

Consignment — Vintage Computer Festivals are not flea/swap events, however we do offer a consignment room. Click through to read the rules and to download the consigner form.

Food — Where they are computer nerds, there must be food! Items such as bagels, muffins, coffee, snacks, hot dogs, soft drinks, etc. will be available.

Don’t forget — CHM is the world’s best computer museum, and it will be fully open during VCF West. Do not miss your chance to see their incredible exhibits including the newly constructed software pavilion.

Vintage Computer Festival East

When: May 18-20, 2018

  • Friday: 9:00am – 6:00pm (classes and post-lunch keynote)
  • Saturday: 9:00am-6:00pm (morning keynote 9:00-10:30 followed by exhibit halls / consignment / vendors / museum open)
  • Sunday: 9:00am-5:00pm (morning keynote 9:00-10:30 followed by exhibit halls / consignment / vendors / museum open)

Tickets: Online ticketing will open in Spring 2018. Tickets will also be available at the door. Tickets are $20 for one day, $35 for two days, or $50 for three days.

Classes: Technical courses dominate the first day of VCF East.

Consignment: Need to thin your collection a little bit?  Or are you looking to pick up something new and interesting? We will have a consignment room to help! The consignment room is open to everybody – please see the consignment FAQ for more information.

Vendors: Do you work for a business that may interest our audience? If so, then you may qualify for a professional vendor booth.

VCF East Dinner: There is a VIP dinner Saturday night. Exhibitors, volunteers, and speakers will have first access to tickets. We anticipate extra tickets being available to the public. Details not yet available.

Vintage Computer Festival Pacific Northwest

When: Saturday February 10th and Sunday February 11th, 2018

Where: Living Computers: Museum+Labs, 2245 First Avenue South, Seattle, WA, 98134 (MapDirections)

Hours: 10:00am – 5:00pm (both days)

Exhibits: We have 20 hands-on exhibits that will be presented all weekend. Exhibits range from early graphical workstations to modern enhancements for old systems.  A wide range of machines from many manufacturers will be present.

Speakers: VCF PNW will feature six speakers and a panel discussion. Topics range from the early days of hobbyist computing to a live demonstration of LCM+L time-sharing systems.  See our list of speakers and events for details.
