The original Atari 520ST/260ST shipped with a large, heavy external switching PSU (typical ratings around 5 V @ 3 A, 12 V @ 0.03 A, −12 V @ 0.03 A). After ~40 years, capacitor aging and drift can cause instability or dangerous over-voltage spikes that threaten custom chips — especially when the old unit is overloaded.

Our Atari ST replacement PSU delivers 50 W (55 W peak) combined output — over 2× the headroom of typical originals — yet it’s about 2× smaller and weighs ~0.4 kg, saving space on your desk.

Many ST setups today include modern enhancements: SD/FDD emulators, CF/SSD HDDs, HDMI/VGA adapters, Wi-Fi modems, RAM upgrades, and accelerators. These increase the load and demand a clean, stable PSU. A stressed vintage supply becomes unpredictable.

Beware of “cheap replacements” that omit the −12 V rail (needed, e.g., for RS-232-C serial) or skip a proper main ON/OFF switch to cut costs. Our approach: meet the original three-rail spec with more current headroom, low ripple & noise, and a robust mechanical rocker switch for safety and real energy saving (no pseudo-standby).

Refund Policy

Refunds Once we receive your item, we will inspect it and notify you that we have received your returned item. We will immediately notify you on the status of your refund after inspecting the item. If your return is approved, we will initiate a refund to your credit card (or original method of payment). You will receive the credit within a certain amount of days, depending on your card issuer's policies.

Cancellation / Return / Exchange Policy

Returns You have 14 calendar days to return an item from the date you received it. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. Your item must be in the original packaging. You will need to contact us before returning your item and it needs to have the a copy of the original receipt or invoice included. If we receive a product back without prior authorization, at our discretion, it may not be refunded and only returned to you at your expense. Shipping You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are nonrefundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
