Are you creating new Homebrew games or hacks? Want to make a cartridge of a game that was never released? We have created a 2K / 4K board that allows you to easily create your Atari cartridges. These boards use standard 2716 (2K) and 2732 (4K) EPROMs.
Boards are pre-assembled for your convenience. You just need an EPROM (and an EPROM programmer) and some soldering skills. As a convenience, if you do not have an EPROM programmer, we added an option for us to program the EPROM's and solder them. Please see below.
For quantities over 100, please email us for a quote!
EPROM Programming: We will not burn EPROM's of copyright games. This service is meant for people who would like make a physical cartridge of a freely released game or for homebrew developers wanting to make physical cartridges for their games. If you would like to create a reproduction, please order a bare board or we will cancel your order. Use the contact us on how to send us the file(s).
Returns/Exchanges: Returns and exchanges will only be given on unused boards only. If the board has been soldered on or altered in anyway, there will be no refund or return. Please evaluate boards upon receipt and if there is an issue on them, please contact us.

I asked 8-Bit Classics to burn some EPROM’s and solder them to boards for a small 4k game I made. Everything works great, and it’s cool to assemble the boards into my own carts. Thanks!

Hello. I am interested in burning my own Atari ROMs onto a cartridge. How do you get a rom onto this cartridge? I have seen that one needs an EEPROM burner to get ROMs onto the chip. Is the chip removable in this case? If so, which burner do I need?

Yes, if you are burning your own EPROMS, you will need to purchase the appropriate EPROM from a vendor. I would recommend eBay and search “EPROM 2732” for 4K EPROMs. You would also need an EPROM programmer. The GQ PRG-055 GQ-4X V4 is a good model and not expensive. It is also available on eBay.

You would have to check the compatibility list of the programmer to see if it would burn the EPROMs that you have. Most EPROMs now are the M2732A variant which can be purchased still if you wanted to check the list of compatiblity.

In future revision it would be nice for the holes for the eprom leads to be a bit bigger. Also, marking for the pin 1 position. My experience worked out great!
